Mitch Petrus has sadly died at the age of 32.
The former NFL player, who won the Super Bowl in 2011 with the New York Giants, passed away on Thursday evening (July 17) in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Mitch had been working outside at his family shop when he reportedly said he wasn’t feeling well.
The Pulaski County Coroner said Mitch passed away at the hospital, where it was determined that he suffered from heat stroke.
Mitch played with the New York Giants from 2010 to 2012 followed by short stints with the New England Patriots and the Tennessee Titans. He played in 27 NFL games, according to ESPN.
