In a video shared on his social media page, Strictly Come Dancing 2019 star Kelvin Fletcher, 35, rolled up his dance shorts to showcase his heavily bruised thighs during training with professional dancer Oti Mabuse, 29. But despite his bruises, the former Emmerdale star was filmed laughing as he jokingly danced in the studio, insisting he wasn’t in pain.

His dance partner Oti then zoomed in to his bruised thighs as she exclaimed: “Oh My God! Dedication.”

Kelvin shared the video in view of his 265,000 followers with the caption: “Cruisin’ for a bruisin’.(sic)

“Proof! Dancing with @OtiMabuse can be a bruising affair! Team #Floti giving it our all for #Strictly.”

Kelvin’s dance partner jokingly hit back at his post, blaming his excessive bruises on “not listening”.

She joked: “That sir HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME!!!

“You’re dancing next to me I’m nowhere close to you… that has kelvin doesn’t listen’ written all over it, my thighs are still fresh and unbruised.”

Strictly pro Neil Jones, who dances with Alex Scott on the show, also shared his thoughts on the post.

He flippantly wrote: “I get the same bruises when I dance next to you.”

Speaking on Strictly: It Takes Two this week, Oti expressed why she believes Craig didn’t give them the perfect score.

Host Zoe Ball asked: “Oti, why is Craig being so tight with his ten paddle this year?”

“I don’t know,” Oti replied. “I think what he really wants is the perfect dance and to him that wasn’t and that’s okay.

“Because for us it doesn’t matter I think from the beginning of the week I said to him all I want is for you to have fun.”

“And that for me is the most important thing.”

Earlier on in the competition, the duo were the first pair to be awarded a 10 by the judges in week three.
