Austin Butler is opening up about getting the chance to play Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann‘s upcoming biopic about the King of Rock n’ Roll.

The 27-year-old actor chatted with ET last night (July 22) at the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood premiere, saying that he’s “profoundly honored that Baz has invited me on this journey with him.”

Austin added, “It’s an extraordinary privilege. And I just feel so blessed to be working with such singular directors like him and Quentin Tarantino.”

He also opened up about getting some acting advice from his Once Upon a Time in Hollywood co-star, Brad Pitt.

“One thing Brad said was ‘to play the long game.’ I love that, just the idea of really choosing quality over quantity.”
